OK I know T5 is missing from the list and it is now open. As I'm retired and don't work at Heathrow anymore I can't go and see how it is down. I'm waiting on accurate information before up dating this page.

General Help

Where bus transfer times are given it allows for an amount of time waiting for the bus to arrive. Walking times assume a steady stroll rather than an Olympic sprint, and that the aircraft is on a far gate rather than a near one.

Some of the walking distances are quite long and if you have mobility problems it may well be worth talking to your airline before you travel, as arrangements can be made to assist you. Don't wait until you get to Heathrow to ask, arrange it in advance.

When checking in for the flight that brings you to Heathrow were you issued with a boarding card for your onward flight. If you do hold a boarding card for your onward flight you can follow the guide below to reach your onward flight.

If you DO NOT hold a boarding card for your onward flight when you reach the main Flight Connection Centre, after going through the security area, you will see a bank of information monitors. Look for your airline on these and it will direct you where to check in for your onward flight. You will see some airline desks in the Flight Connection Centre, British Airways to the left others to the right, but not all airlines are located here, so it is important to check those monitors.  If transferring between Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 you will go through a smaller connection centre, after the security controls, in the relevant terminal. Check in for your onward flight here.

One other point to remember. When checking in at the very start of your journey make sure you know if your luggage has been checked through to your final destination. If it wasn't and you need to collect it at Heathrow the advice below does not apply to you. You should go through passport control to baggage reclaim. Collect your bags, go through customs and follow the signs to the terminal you are departing from and check in for your onward flight there.
